Xcel Energy rebates
Xcel Energy, Colorado's electric and natural gas utility, offers rebates to residential customers who install qualifying high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment — including furnaces, central air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits. Rebate eligibility is based on the equipment's efficiency rating (for example, SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2 ratings for cooling and heat pump equipment), and the rebate amount generally scales with the size and efficiency tier of the system installed. Amounts and qualifying models change periodically, so we don't list specific dollar figures here — Xcel publishes current rebate amounts on its own site (linked below).
Normally, a homeowner has to apply for these rebates themselves after installation and then wait for Xcel to process the paperwork and mail a check — often several weeks. JC Mechanical is a registered Xcel Energy Trade Partner, which means we're set up to handle that paperwork directly.
Because of that, we're able to apply your expected rebate as an instant discount on your invoice at the time of installation — rather than you paying the full price up front and waiting on Xcel to mail a rebate check back to you. We handle the rebate submission on our end after the job is complete.
This page describes how the Xcel Energy rebate program generally works, in our own words. Specific rebate amounts, qualifying equipment models, and program terms change and are set by Xcel Energy, not by us — for current amounts and full eligibility rules, see Xcel Energy's own program page.

Financing options
No financing programs are published yet. This section will only list financing partners and terms we've verified directly with the lender, along with eligibility conditions and a last-reviewed date — we don't publish approvals, payment amounts, or terms that haven't been confirmed.
Federal tax credits
Some high-efficiency HVAC equipment may also qualify for federal energy tax credits, separate from any utility rebate. Because tax credit rules depend on your personal tax situation, we'd rather point you to a current, official source than guess — ask your tax preparer or check ENERGY STAR's federal tax credit page for what currently applies.
